I love going out to take pictures and finding something completely unexpected. I went out the other morning to see take pictures of ice and frost on the trees. As I drove down a back road, I spotted a deer running across the field. I drove to where I could get a clear line of site, and watched as she ran across a frozen pond. After a short wait, she cooperated nicely and I got a couple of nice shots.
Then I noticed that she was heading for the road, not too far from me. So I drove a little closer to where she was going to cross, and waited again. And she didn’t make me wait very long before she appeared in the trees near by. She stopped and looked at me for a minute before she crossed the road. Then she went up the bank, and into the woods to go about her business.
This is one of the things I really love about living in rural Upstate NY.
