Overlooking Devil’s Den from the top of Little Round Top on the Gettysburg battlefield is a monument honoring Brig. General Warren. He was chief engineer for General Meade, and on the 2nd day of the battle he found that there were no men occupying the top of this strategic hill except a few members of the signal corp. Warren sent word to General Meade that a division was needed on this hill. Today the monument shows the general at the top of Little Round Top, binoculars in hand, looking out over the Confederate position.
This photo was taken as a set of 3 images, about 20 minutes after sunset. One was over exposed and two were under exposed. I used the RAW files to create an HDR merge using Corel’s Paintshop Pro X5.
